Happy Birthday Kendra

Kendra is one!! Can you believe it? We had a great day. We did a little party for her and invited my friend and her little boy to came over. Kendra didn't want anything to do with opening the presents but she sure loved playing with her toys.

The cake was the most fun. Kendra loved it and it was fun to watch but not to clean up. Good thing it's only an annual event.
The next day we took her to the cute little play place in the mall. She was a wild woman, climbing stairs, going down the slide head first, crawling through the caves. We have so much fun watching her play and learn. She's a blast!!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Went to the the zoo yesterday (7 min drive btw) and it was a ton of fun. Kendra loved the animals, especially the giraffs. They sell these cracker looking things so you can feed them but Kendra had to sample each one before she gave it to the giraff. The girl will eat just about anything. We stopped to take a picture by the deer statue but Kendra was too busy waving at the people behind us. Nick on the other hand had no trouble at all posing for the camera. I told him they were going on the blog but he has no shame. Wanna know our favorite animals? Nicks was the OTTERS (what a nerd) and mine, no surprise - the GRIZZLIES. S0 there ya go, I know you were just dying to know that right? Anyway - Kendra is turning one on Monday so I gotta get with it. I mean, I have so much to do. The guest list alone will keep me busy for like.........................6 seconds *hee hee*. Better get home, Powerball starts in a few minutes. That's right folks, you're looking at a future lotto winner. Next time you see me, I'll be $156,000,000 richer. Don't worry, I'll still associate with all you middle class people out there. Bah Bye!

BLAH

I love having a computer even if I have to steal the internet and it's super slow. Kendra's in bed, my dishes are done for the third time today, and I got all my laundry caught up today......so I'm taking this opportunity to blog. We really haven't done anything too exciting lately. We did finally drive through Garden of the Gods and went to the visitor center, wasn't that exciting but something to do. Also - got a package in the mail from my mama. She sent us some homemade raspberry and peach jam. Going to the mail is the highlight of my day so you can only imagine my excitement. Kendra is obsessed with books. She loves to turn the pages and jabber like she's really reading. It's too cute. Anyway - it's getting late so I better get to bed. Toodles!

FYI

In case any of you were wondering, Kendra does not have the chicken pox. She had an allergic reaction to Amoxicillan. Good & bad news I guess but at least we know now. Have a great day!!

Chicken Pox & Bears!!

Howdy fellow bloggers! I'm back in the loop thanks to a new laptop - HOORAY! In other news, we are at the doctor right now because Kendra has some kind of mysterious rash, actually looks like chicken pox but we think it's an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. Anyway - about the bears........I know, I'm a little obsessed but they're fascinating. We've seen the same mama bear with her two adorable little cubs with her. They come right into camp and we actually got some video and pictures of her this time. This is her shaking a tree, we think to get some berries. Awesome right?
