PIES...PIES...PIES

Check out my pie skills! Anybody who's somebody knows that my inlaws are all about pies. They don't do birthday cake, it's all about the birthday pie. I decided to practice up for Nick's birthday and for the next big bash so I made a raspberry/blackberry/peach pie & a caramel/apple/pecan pie. The apple one looks good but it was really watery ( I don't know why) so we threw the whole thing away. We had a party for Nick & my mom & invited the fam over to Milford. I forgot to take pictures but all that really matters is the pictures of my pies & this way cute picture of Kendra & her daddy.

Other than pies and birthdays - I've just been staying busy with Kendra. She just turned 5 months old & I can't believe how big she's getting. She's such a good little baby too, she still sleeps through the night & is so happy. I do photo shoots with her every once in awhile & she smiles in every picture. Here's the results of the latest one:

WHAT A DOLL!!

What a nice wife! Those pies look yum. And what a cute daddy with his little chica. I also ADORE her photo shoot pics. She is getting so big.

Where is YOUR photo shoot? I should have totally posted it myself! As for the rest of the gang...cute, as usual. It always makes my day to see a new post :)

What am I going to do when you leave. Who will make me goodies and pies (by the way they were delicious, not just pretty)? I hear they have refridgerated UPS trucks. Anyway my blog would be cuter than yours if Kendra wasn't on it. I mean, who wants to look at pictures of senior citizens?

Wohoooo! You're a true schofield now, Crystal. As for Apple pie, you shouldn't add any moisture to the apples, just some flour (about 1/4 a cup) some brown sugar (about 1/2 a cup) and some cinnamon (1/2 tsp) if your name's not Walt. Mix it all up really good and put it in the crust. I like to use two or three different varieties of apples to get good variety in texture. I'm so dang proud of you! Pie is highly intimidating :-)
