TIDBITS

-- John & Marge

-- Rich & Carol, friends from our ward

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL MANITOU SPRINGS, our new home away from home. I told you it was beautiful and I wasn't kidding.

The deer come in and nap in the shade of our trailers. They are used to people so they don't bother to move when we get home. We love watching the wildlife around here.
This is miss monkey baby. She is into everything and has learned the art of manipulation. She is "like" way too big for naps these days so she stands up and rocks the house until I come in and lay her down again and again. What a fun game!!

Some Swimmin' Fun

I dedicate this page to my awesome mama for giving me the courage to post a picture of myself in a swimsuit. I know, I know, you can only see like a sliver of me but it's a start right? So anyway, this is obviously us swimming. Kendra wasn't real thrilled about the cold water but nothing that a little peekaboo couldn't fix.

I love taking pictures of Kendra and Miss Honey. Don't they make the cutest sisters? In their spare time they enjoy playing tug-o-war, taking walks downtown in the stroller, eating dogfood, and watching out the window for Daddy to come home. I'm not kidding either, they keep each other entertained and annoyed all day. LIFE IS GOOD!!

LOVIN' LIFE

So, I'm a little behind in the blogging world but Kendra is no longer cooperating at the library. She's into everything and doesn't have the attention span that she used too. Anyway - we had a great 4th of July. We had dinner with our new friends, the Savios! Then we all headed to Memorial park in the Springs for the big fireworks! They had an orchestra show first and then played throughout the huge firework show. Kendra loved them and then half way through fell asleep all snuggled up with her Daddy. I'm really ticked right now because I just deleted some pictures of the people who went with us and now there's nothing I can do about it.

We're having a great time here and live in the most beautiful place you can imagine. We have deer that come in and sleep under our trailer and a few days ago while eating dinner our neighbor coaxed a doe and her two fawns to eat out of his hand. Then the mom got so brave she took a few steps into his trailer to get some more.

Kendra is getting so smart! She pulls her self up to everything, climbs the stairs, insists on feeding herself and now started to copy what we say. Her newest word is Daddy instead of Dada. It's too cute. This family picture was taken by our personal photographer, Mr. Timer! He's good right & cheap too. Nick probably gets sick of doing this but he'll thank me when he's an old man and all sad that his babies are grown. Well, my half our is about to expire so have a great weekend and can't wait to see all of you soon!!

MISS KENDRA, THE BEAUTY QUEEN

I ventured out to the nearest Kiddie Kandids to get Kendra's pictures done, and they turned out great. It isn't hard to get a good picture when you have a gorgeous baby :) She is such a smiley girl and growing up way too fast...we'll enjoy her while she's happy because if she's anything like her momma, she's sure to give us a run for our money!

What we've been up to!

I don't really have a lot to blog about. Our day's consist of taking Honey for walks, going to the library, the park & every Wednesday we do the Farmers Market which is kind of fun. We've also been sampling the different springs around here. The locals swear by it but I'm not convinced. There are several springs downtown and they've restored all of them and made them into historical markers. Anyway - the water is naturally sweet and carbonated. I'm not sure how that's possible but it really is. The first time we tried it, we were disgusted but we tried a different spring yesterday and it wasn't so bad. People say it's great for you but it's an aquired taste.

Kendra makes this face a lot lately. It's cute until somebody stops to say hello and she throws them this look. Nick says it looks like the face Grandpa Holm makes when he teases her. Kendra is also pulling her self up to stuff & getting mobile. She can pretty much get anywhere she wants but it's still the belly crawl. She also waves to everyone we meet and can say Hi, Mama, Dada, Baba, & Num. She is so dang cute but it's really hard not being around other kids here. The only time we get to play with other kids is at church & yes we've been going. Those mormons are gonna get us if we don't watch ourselves!! Love you all and miss you more:)
